“A highly original photographer with an eye for the unusual arrangements of everyday objects.” Mullaly,T. Arts column, Daily Telegraph

For over thirty years Mike Coldicott has worked as a freelance advertising photographer. Today, he focuses his creativity on capturing the landscape. His commitment to his art is boundless; he will get up in the middle of the night and drive miles to frame a perfect sunrise.

Mike started his career with the leading advertising agency Harrison Cowley where he specialised in studio and location photography. He was later invited to set up a photographic department based in Leamington; travelling extensively throughout Britain, Europe and the Middle East.

In 1981 Mike started his own studio and quickly built up an impressive client list. He gained a reputation for creative photography in both the commercial and cultural worlds; his commissions led him on a number of diverse and stimulating shoots. These included an acclaimed studio session for Laney with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, and a Welsh quarry shoot for Subaru cars, which was featured in the Sunday Times colour supplement.

His series of images for the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery was commended in the press and he also received a Kodak Business Calendar Award, which was presented to him at The Royal Albert Hall.

In 2008 Mike moved to Cheltenham and was able to devote all his time to his love of fine art photography. Over the last 5 years he has travelled widely at home and abroad, and has collected images of some truly unique locations.
